What is Get Me Ready?
Get Me Ready is a robust self-service tool to help you prepare to login to the new myASHBA portal. It can help you check whether your current username and password still work, reset your password, recover your username, or create your first login if you are already an ASHBA member.
Who should use Get Me Ready?
Use Get Me Ready if you are not sure whether your ASHBA login is ready, if you used the previous ASHBA portal, if you forgot your username or password, or if you are an active member who has never created online login credentials.
Where do I start?
Start with the option that best matches your situation. If you think you know your username and password, choose Test My Credentials. If you know you have an account but forgot your password, choose Request Password Reset. If you forgot your username but know your member number, choose Retrieve Username. If you are a member but have never had a myASHBA login, choose Create Account.
I used the old ASHBA portal. Do I need to create a new account?
Usually, no. If you previously used the ASHBA portal and still know your username and password, start by choosing Test My Credentials. This will let you confirm whether your existing login is ready to use.
What happens when I test my credentials?
You will enter your username and password, and the system will check whether they are working correctly. If your login works, you are ready to go. If your password does not work, use Request Password Reset. If the username is not found, use Retrieve Username if you know your member number, or contact ASHBA for help.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
Choose Request Password Reset and enter the email address connected to your ASHBA account. If the email matches an account, you will receive a password reset link by email.
I forgot my username. What should I do?
Choose Retrieve Username and enter your ASHBA member number. If the system can match your member number to an account, your username will be sent to the email address on file.
I am an ASHBA member, but I have never had an online login. What should I do?
Choose Create Account. This option helps you link your existing ASHBA membership to a new online username and password.
What information do I need to create an account?
You will need your last name, postal code, email address, desired username, and password. You may also be asked for helpful matching information such as first name, birthdate, phone number, or address details. The more accurate your information is, the easier it is for the system to match you to the correct ASHBA membership record.
Why is the system asking me to match my membership?
ASHBA wants to connect your online login to the correct existing membership record. This helps protect your account and ensures your member information, records, and services are connected properly.
Can I accidentally create a duplicate account?
The system is designed to help prevent duplicate accounts. If an account already exists for your username, email address, or membership record, you may be directed to test your login or reset your password instead of creating a new account.
What are the password rules?
Your password must be at least 6 characters long, and the confirmation password must match. Passwords are case-sensitive, so uppercase and lowercase letters matter.
I requested a reset email but did not receive it. What should I check?
First, check your spam or junk folder. Also check any “Promotions,” “Other,” or filtered inbox sections if your email provider uses them. Next, make sure you entered the email address connected to your ASHBA membership record. If you still do not receive the email after a few minutes, try once more. If it still does not arrive, contact ASHBA so staff can help verify the email address on your account.
My reset link says it is expired or invalid. What should I do?
Password reset links are time-sensitive and can usually only be used once. If your link has expired or does not work, return to Request Password Reset and request a new link. Be sure to use the most recent reset email you receive.
I have not yet renewed my membership for the year — can I still use Get Me Ready?
Absolutely! Even if you need to renew your membership, your prior username and password will still work, and you can still utilize these tools to get into the portal. Once you are logged in, you can renew your membership.
I need to join ASHBA for the first time — what do I do?
To join ASHBA, navigate to https://www.saddlebred.com/member/register?to=join. Once you have signed up, return to this page and select option #4 to set up your myASHBA login.
Can two people share the same email address for login?
For best results, each membership relationship and online login should use a unique email address. If multiple family members or related accounts share an email address and you run into trouble, contact ASHBA for help before creating additional accounts.
What should I do if I am not sure which option to choose?
Start with Test My Credentials if you think you may know your username and password. If that does not work, choose Request Password Reset if you know the email address on your account. If you do not remember your username but know your member number, choose Retrieve Username. If you are an active member but have never had an online login, choose Create Account.
What should I include if I contact ASHBA for help?
